Week 1 

Lecture 1: Module Briefing 


Today we had our first lecture with our lecturer of this module Mr. Asrizal. We were briefed on what we will redoing in this module and that we may have the chance to work with industry from QSR brand from week 3 onwards. 


Next, the lecture starts by Mr.Asrizal giving us a look on analytics for google merchandise. He explained some terms to us such as: 

  • bounce rate: rule of thumb 40% below, if > then there must be issues with the pitch
  • conversion: convert from visitor to customer
  • Time spent
  • Data Collection Lecture 

Week 2 

Lecture 2: Persona 


This week we were given lecture on persona. Mr Asrizal explained to us what is persona and what does it looks like.

After lecture, Mr Asrizal gave us our Task 1 for next week in which we had to comparison data of two period of time (1st quarter 2021 vs 1st quarter 2022) , January 2021 - 31st march 2022 vs January 2022 - 31st march 2022

Week 2 (07/04/22) 

Tasks

After lecture we were told to create a group of four person and choose which brand we wanted to do as our client. My group consist of Cynthia, Maria and Angdio. We choose Agrobazaar as our client. Next, we had to do research based on their:
 1. Understand client, competitor analysis (direct competitors)
2. social media channels, consumer engagement, engagement ideas
3. Creating content management for social media (post dll)


Agrobazaar Brand Analysis Presentation

Week 3 (14/04/22) 

Class

Today all members go to codium for the first time and present our analysis of our chosen brand. Our brand is Agrobazaar and we did research on competitors, social media analysis and engagement ideas 

Week 4 (21/04/22) 

Class

Today only me and Cynthia was able to come to podium. There, the client discussed on content calendar in which we need to come up with ideas for two weeks content of Agrobazaar:
Before figuring out the idea we need to look at their analytics on what product people are interested in (analytics > site content > products)
Six pillars:
1. Platform : focus on features ( promotion and special offer from website)
2. lifestyle : something that related to daily life
3. barang kering 
4. fresh produce 
5. Vendor ( no need) 
 6. recipe : easy recipes 
What to input into the spreadsheet? 
- 3 post per week ( cover 3 different categories each week)
- mention the platform you want to do ( images / gifs)
- do only for the first two weeks of may

After the briefing with client, Mr. Asrizal briefed us for what we had to prepare for the persona presentation assignment =

This week we were told to present our TikTok analysis presentation. We did an online presentation with our clients on board in zoom meetings. Unfortunately, only me and Cynthia was able to present that day.

There was no class this week because of hari raya. However, we are supposed to submit our persona presentation.

Class

This week we went to Codium lab again. Again, it was only me and Cynthia that was able to come. This week we present to our client regarding the content calendar we did and they use one of our idea for last month content which was rending ketupat. Next, we are being separated into groups for workshop to discuss our remaining ideas for the next two weeks,

This week we had a short online meeting for June assignment and feedback from last TikTok video we did.

It was still the first week, therefore we don't have any feedbacks yet.

Agrobazaar Research :

- Gives the action plan more detailed such as gives examples ( brand ambassador what influencer? )( instagram ads how to post ) give suggestions for consistency ( what to consistency? Logo color? ) 
- target audience watching tv how should we direct them to online?
- Overall we did a Good findings we just need to be more detailed 
- breakdown ( pictures, what picture does better? Food?)

Tiktok Presentation:
  • They like how we present our idea really detailed
  • It was clear presentation of what we wanted to do
  • Perhaps the usage of influencer are more appropriate as idea 3 instead of 1 since they need to have publicity first
  • We did a good job on how we present our content from showing the advantages of TikTok to  competitor analysis and then showing our ideas
  • Perhaps we could choose a bigger company for competitor analysis and we could look into this internationally

Week 7

Content Calendar Idea:

- The most crucial aspect of developing content is how we can differentiate ourselves from the competitors 

- Context: Our content all was great and it was excellent that we have contents for Hair Raya

- Ideas: They like some of our ideas and was executed 

- Issue: comic form ( consider how we could produce a comic that would appeal to their target audience)


Workshop Session:


- Agrobazaar target audience: Malaysian, Bilik area , Older generation , mostly using facebook ( uncle and aunties)

- Our Post ideas 


  • Comic Draft : 

        1. Style: make sure it suits the older generation

        2. Ref Artist: Mfiurus -> designer of ecoshop

        3. Decide if its 1 post / carousel

        4. Make sure the design is applicable to the intended audience.

        5. Make the draft 


  • For videos ( we dont have time) perhaps gif instead of videos , change direction to gif


  • Ketupat illustration may proceed (step by step 4 square illustration); they will film the ketupat palas videos and send them to us
  • Post regarding kuah kacang instead of rendang ( grab instant kuah kacang picture from Agro’s website) design with peanut elements


  • Lifestyle: animated gif using the products and e.g show cookies next show serundeng (food related with raya) animated picture w/ sound, list down product we could use, raya cookies


  • Top sales: static images of coffee with top sales label 


  • One of the codium member (Mr.Zaiful) suggested a kitchen content ( buy chicken from Agrobazaar and show how to store it) 
Week 10

Tiktok Video Awareness ( I like it I got it):

  • Some improvements has been amends on our side
  • Therefore, the TikTok’s all ready to be posted.


Tiktok video recipe ( Avocado Shake):

  • There was a slight minor fix we need to amends such as font size and font thickness
  • Other than that, the rest of the video we did a good job
Week 11

Some tips from Codium Team when shooting video:


- Fill in storyboard detailed so that we could understand what we wanted to do for each scenes

- Do shoots variation as additional resources for emergency 

- Dont incorporate the branding when shooting


Content Feedback:

   - The content we had done for june week 4&5 are already good

   - We just need to add one more tiktok video content on week 4

   - Instead of plain pantun make the character gifs


Tiktok Recipe Video Feedback:


- Avocado shake = The avocado recipe we did received a positive outcome with a lot of views and likes they were satisfied.

- Tiktok I want it I got it = This video also done well and we received positive feedback.



Reflection

Experience

This was a whole new experience for me. I honestly thought we'd simply be doing design, but running our own campaign was a completely unique experience for me. We were encouraged to think critically and to create campaigns for a cause in order to have a better understanding of what is going on in the world today.

Observation

According to my observations, there are a lot of societal concerns going on throughout the world right now. However, I was particularly interested in the beauty components of it, such as animal testing, green beauty, and so on. I could improve my critical thinking and marketing abilities as a result of this work. I could learn how to correctly create my campaign.

Findings

I struggled at the beginning since I didn't understand the motivation behind this project. The campaign was a new subject for all of us, and we did not know what to do initially. Thankfully, with the help of Ms.Lilian's feedback and counsel, I could make it through.
